JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? AV Products seeks a high-energy, customer-focused business development professional to manage domestic growth opportunities and support the demands of an expanding business.
? The Business Development professional will expand AV Products existing base of customers in government, automotive, energy storage, battery, fuel cell, ultracapacitor, and power generation industries.
? The individual will manage customer communications to improve and grow a variety of critical channel and OEM relationships with focus on government relations.
? The Business Development Engineer will have a lead role in a domestic region and a market sector.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
? The ideal candidate must be able to think and sell strategically and have a proven track record, demonstrating quantifiable achievements in industrial products/systems sales management on a global scale.
? Successful candidates will have an engaging presentation style and a keen ability to think quickly and act nimbly according to a customer?s unique needs.
? The candidate must be assertive and extremely motivated to win.
? Experience selling and working with the US Government is required.
? Extensive travel, 30%, is required.
? Knowledge of battery/fuel cell/alternatively-fueled vehicle terminology, marketplace and concepts a plus.
? Computer proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and sales management software such as salesforce.com is required.
? Proficient use of a variety of tools including on-site visits, email, phone and fax to communicate with customers.
? Enjoys a challenge, employs tenacity and ingenuity in closing sales.
? Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
? Five to ten year?s business development including government sales experience is required.
