Customer Service Agent II

The Customer Service Associate will work at the Raleigh Customer Service Center on Rush Street, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Responsibilities Include: Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment using state-of-the-art computer systems; handle customer telephone inquiries in a professional, courteous, accurate and effective manner. Types of telephone calls received include: request for service (connects/disconnects), high bill complaints and inquiries, power failures/interruptions, bill calculations and rate issues. This position answers customer calls during outage and emergency situations that may occur during and beyond normal business hours.

Minimum Qualifications: High School education or equivalent with two years of customer service experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills; excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills and PC proficiency. Ability to attend training; willing and available to work rotational shifts and requires quarterly on-call responsibility. Working during inclement weather is required.

Desired Qualifications: Two years of customer service in an inbound call center environment or a two-year degree in business, marketing or communications preferred.

Fluent Spanish speaking candidates also desired.

Customer Service Representative (CSR) aptitude testing is required for this position.

Provide a variety of customer support duties which may include providing customers with accurate and prompt account information, responding to customer inquiries/issues and documenting each contact, coordinating and scheduling projects and schedules as well as processing payments and maintaining customer accounts.  Two to five years of customer service support experience of increasing variety and/or complexity.  Requires a working knowledge of customer service support; readily learns and applies new information/concepts in area of responsibility.  Proficiency in use of standard software packages and accurate keyboard skills.  Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
