Energy Analyst/Project Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

 

Under direction from a Manager, this position will build on the analytical strengths and business acumen of the associate. The candidate will work with databases, systems and technologies that support the entire organization. The Energy Project Manager will be part of the Consulting & Analysis Group with specific account responsibilities for delivering contracted services, maintaining account revenue, identifying up-sell opportunities.

Although activities related to staff personnel management are not emphasized, ability to establish a close working relationship with internal and external clients and energy industry personnel is key to success.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Project Manager will be completely responsible for the analysis and consulting services provided to assigned accounts as directed by management.  The analysis and consulting services include but is not limited to auditing bill data, identifying and resolving billing errors and/or exceptions, rate analysis, generating customer reports, meeting with customer as required and in general meeting the requirements of the contract scope of services for assigned accounts.

Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

 

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:

 

? The Analyst will be evaluated by a clearly defined set of metrics on success of the assigned projects, as well as company and personal growth goals.

 

 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

 

? Will report primarily to a manager as needed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Successful candidate must be detail oriented, self directed and able to execute.

Preferred experience in the following:

? Extensive knowledge of the energy industry (Electric/Natural Gas)

? Experience with National Accounts

? Energy Data analysis and issue resolution

? Electric rates and tariffs

? Data Management/Manipulation

? Microsoft Office and Project

Communication ? must be able to clearly and concisely communicate ideas, findings, issues, and questions both orally and in writing.

Analytical Skills ? strong analytical skills to review and decipher energy data.  Must be able to prepare reports based on findings and identified opportunities.  

Customer Relations ? must be able to develop and maintain customer relations through open and clear communication as well as personal and project performance. This is a critical attribute and position requirement.

 

2. Minimum Educational and/or Experience Level:

 

A four-year degree or equivalent.  Energy experience a must. Preferably 5 to 7 years experience.

Valid Drivers License

 

4. Travel Requirements:

Currently approximately 25%
