Energy Programs Market Advisor

Responsibilities:

? The ?Market Advisor? interacts with energy efficiency program managers and communication staff (Advertising, Web, Media Relations, Public Affairs, etc.) to develop effective marketing materials.

? Coordinates activities closely with other utilities and governmental/regulatory entities (i.e. statewide/national energy efficiency Marketing & Outreach campaigns including Flex Your Power, Energy Star). 

? Builds and maintains relationships with key influencers such as retailers, manufacturers, contractors, and community organizations maximizing opportunities to get energy efficiency measures adopted.

? Manages project budgets and exercises expense prudence. 

? Manages vendor contracts for effective program operation.

? Responsible for complying with regulatory program requirements and reporting.

 

Requirements:

? Successful candidate will be a self-starter with a minimum of 5 years of agency experience in advertising or public relations with a focus in consumer or social marketing.

? A bachelor?s degree in business, preferably in marketing or communications, is required or equivalent experience.

? Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills. 

? Must be results-oriented and customer-focused.

? Must be able to multi-task and undertake a variety of activities related to overall program planning, outreach and other issues associated with energy efficiency programs.

? Must be creative in developing implementation strategies and diplomatic in resolving problems. 

? Requires the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management. 

? Fluency in Spanish (both oral and written) is desired. (Oral and written test may be administered.)

? Experience in the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs is desirable.

? Understanding of the current regulatory and legislative requirements related to energy demand-reduction programs is a plus.
