Journeyman Lineman/woman

Job Description: Overhead/underground electric distribution and transmission, including all phases of line construction, maintenance, emergency repair/restoration and troubleshooting.

 

Requirements: High school diploma or GED; proof of successful completion of certified apprenticeship lineworker program or equivalent, plus 4 years line experience working as a qualified journeyman lineworker.  Must have a valide Class A CDL and be willing to live within a 45 minute commute of regular work site.  Must meet the physical demands of job description which includes, but is not limited to, heavy lifting, working on ladders and in bucket truck, vehicle/equipment operation, hand tool operation, digging, outside & inside work - often in inclement weather.  Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally, squeeze tools to 80lbs. of force; climb poles; drive large vehicles and heavy equipment; work from the basket wearing PPE; work at night and for extended hours.
