Position Description:

Chevron Project Resources Company (PRC) is accepting online applications for the position of a Pascagoula Hurricane Project Manager - CT, Boilers, Pump Out Facilities (0608-50160514) located in Pascagoula, Mississippi through September 5, 2006.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Pascagoula refinery received significant storm damage during Hurricane Katrina. Several projects to improve the ability of the refinery to withstand storms are under way. This Project Manager position will develop and execute a project to improve Cooling tower reliability, boiler reliability and a storm water management system. The project is currently in Phase 2, development of alternatives. Current alternative range in cost from $50-60MM.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Develops budget and staffing plans to build a high performance, multi-functional team with expertise necessary to achieve project objectives. Manages Company project team and directs activities of design and construction contractors.
- Coordinating all front end work leading up to the capital design phase of the project.
- All design, procurement, construction, and start-up activities.
- Project business outcomes.
- Establishing objectives and expectations for implementation of all necessary Chevron Project Development and Execution Processes and tools, including obtaining ?Best Practical? FEL and Cost Index scores.
- Supervising company personnel and setting direction for experienced contract personnel.
- Contract and purchase order development and placement.
- Developing project objectives for safety, schedule, cost and operability.
- Champions incorporation of Operational Excellence and Incident Free Operations in all aspects of project planning and execution.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor?s degree required in Engineering Degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in Capital Project Management.
- Relocation benefits will be considered.
- Expatriate Assignment will be considered.
- This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
