Job Responsibilities

The Project Manager for Integrated Outage Services reports to the Outage and Scheduling Manager and will provide oversight to the Refueling Services Contractor on site including performance management responsibilities.  This individual will be responsible for providing leadership to the Refueling Services Contractor, monitor budget performance, review & coordinate bids, coordinate outage preparations and outage support, and provide support for daily plant operations.  Oversight of the Refueling Services Contractor will be managed as a project.

Manages, coordinates and administers the project from the conceptual stages, through planning, engineering, procurement, implementation, start-up/functional testing and paperwork closeout. Responsible for assisting Procurement in preliminary contract work, reviewing the contracts to determine significant time schedules and milestones, coordinating the participation of responsible entities and defining the major task areas. Supervises the development of budgets and schedules, monitors progress, and initiates action to assure project objectives are met and work is performed within budget. Development and implementation of the Work Management Process related to Refueling.  Resolves problems and coordinates the implementation of the project. Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high performance team. Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of ten years responsible maintenance-related experience, a majority of which has been spent in positions in nuclear power. Proven experience in supervision is required. 

 

Education

A degree in engineering or business management is preferred.  Experience may be substituted for education provided the candidate demonstrates business acumen, sound decision quality, a drive for results, and proven ability to build an effective team.

 Certifications/Licenses

Project Management certification desirable.

 Additional InformationThis position will support the ongoing operations of the fleet and is jointly accountable with fleet personnel for the fleet meeting its excellence plan. Travel to support NMC objectives and act as a member of the emergency response organization may be part of the requirements of this position.
