General Physics has an immediate need for a Refinery Training Manager to lead the design, development, and conduct of training for commissioning and field service engineers.

This manager will also supervise 4 or 5 developers who will be developing instructor-led and web-based courses on unit processes that include reforming, catalytic cracking, hydrocracking, treatment, and aromatics processing. This position is based at our client site in the Des Plaines area of Chicago, about 5 miles northwest of O'Hare.

All candidates MUST HAVE experience in instructional design and experience in training operating crews in unit startups in a complex refinery. Candidates without this experience are encouraged to view our other jobs on line.

Additional Required Skills -
Four year degree or 12 years related experience
6 to 12 Years of experience in refinery operations or field services
Prior Management experience
Prior Training experience
