Shift Supervisor - Operations/Electric/Utility 52-55 K/yr

Great opportunity for a fossil plant rotating SHIFT SUPERVISOR for a great firm at a location in southern Florida. Requires High school diploma or general education degree (GED); supervisory experience leading or motivating subordinates; and two to four years related experience a power facility. Needs working knowledge of cherry picker, crane, skid loader, and forklift, but not required to operate in the performance of the job. Works on a rotating schedule to support plant operations. Supervises three to five employees. Requires strong supervisor/management experience.

Position supervises plant operations and its personnel while meeting maximum production quotas in conjunction with all safety and environmental standards; coordinates activities of operations and maintenance personnel during scheduled and nonscheduled downtimes. Reviews daily plant activities to be aware of plant conditions, boiler house conditions, production operating schedules, etc.; makes plant rounds to check on operations; communicates with boiler house and RTI supervisors concerning plant conditions and quality of product delivered; oversees housekeeping function in and around plant area; schedules employees for shift, relief and special projects; prepares, reviews and distributes work orders, and assigns tasks of priority 2 work orders; prepares weekly PM activity reports for Operations Manager; and prepares downtime, operating summary, fire and explosion reports.
