VP of Engineering

Job Description: I am actively searching for a seasoned, well rounded, engineer with experience in design, maintenance, test and commissioning of mission critical power systems. Ideal candidate should be a degreed electrical engineer with extensive experience in design and engineering of emergency power systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Generator, Static (STS) & Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), etc.). Candidate should possess drafting capabilities using AutoCAD, be capable of performing feasibility studies and have thorough knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and project management software (MSWord, MSExcel, MSAccess, MSProject). Candidate must have exceptional written and oral skills. Must be thoroughly familiar with mission critical (24x7) environments including data centers, call centers, distributed generation power plants, hospitals, 24x7 manufacturing processing facilities, telecommunication and television broadcasting facilities.
Candidate will be required to perform field work including:
a) Project management
b) Onsite inspections
c) Electrical Thermographic Scanning (Will Train)
d) Supervision of Electrical Equipment Maintenance, Testing and Commissioning Activities
e) Be comfortable with setting power meters and taking physical measurements on small and large electrical services
Perform Studies:
a) Short Circuit Analysis
b) Over Current Protective Device selective Coordination Analysis
c) Power Quality Studies
d) Electrical Condition Assessment Reports
e) Load Studies
f) Power Distribution Systems Reliability Studies
Application and knowledge of Codes and Standards:
a) National Electrical Code (NEC)
b) National Fire Protection Association Codes and Standards (NFPA)
c) All Local Codes
d) Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
e) International Electrical Testing Association (NETA)
