Our client is an industry leader in the tier one automotive supplier market and is actively searching for an Automation Engineer to carry out duties assisting engineering in the development of new equipment and processes while performing general duties to keep existing production equipment operational. Continually investigate job processes to improve them and eliminate potential quality and production errors..

Job Description
This position will allow you to take your automotive manufacturing automation engineering background to successfully carry out engineering duties and maintain a high level of production and quality. Duties include:
Assist engineering departments in the implementation of new equipment and processes for manufacturing. Use technical skills to troubleshoot equipment and use those skills to efficiently correct any problems that interfere with production requirements. Work safely and be aware of all potential dangers that may affect you and others around you. This includes proper use of tools, equipment, and following OSHA safety regulations.
Bring new jobs online by programming, fabrication, and re-writing. This may require the modification of existing equipment. Assist in maintenance of personnel as required
Assist in developing systems and processes that improve safety, quality, and production. Maintain and repair electrical equipment as required. Maintain inventory of supplies necessary to maintain production.
Provide support to maintenance associates in troubleshooting and correcting electrical problems.

Requirements
We are very interested in talking to candidates with the following qualifications:
Minimum 2 years associates degree in Electronics or related field
2+ years experience with automated controls
The ability to read schematics and blueprints covering both structural equipment and designed components
2+ years experience desired in the automotive manufacturing world
