Chemist

JOB DESCRIPTION: A major specialty and fine chemical manufacturer is looking for a growth oriented Chemist for its Mobile, AL plant.

?  Will perform routine and non-routine sampling and analyses.

?  Maintain testing techniques such as: ICP, GC analyses (H2 & C12), auto-titrations, and manual titrations.

?  Prepare and oversee the make up of standards, standardization solutions, and Quality Control samples.

?  Order and ensure maintenances of critical supplies.

?  Troubleshoot instruments/equipment for expedient corrective action/repair.

?  Perform special projects for the QA Lab supporting ORC, Production, and Customer Focus areas.

?  Develop analytical methods.

?  Establish and maintain good sound Preventive Maintenance Plans.

?  Train fellow employees.

 

Job Requirements:

?  BS Chemistry or Related Science.

?  Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar position with a chemical manufacturing plant.

?  Should be a hands-on individual that is able to perform assigned task and responsibilities.

?  Able to interact and work with others.

?  Must be able to plan, organize, and drive for quality results.

?  Good communication skills (written & verbal).

?  Ability to grow upward in the company.
