MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

These Manufacturing Engineering positions are located in the Lebanon, NH aerospace manufacturing facitliy.  Experience in grinding and finishing is a plus. The primary role will include but not be limited to:Participating on major projects under the supervision of the project leader. Developing and implementing smaller projects. Assisting in the writing of project proposals in a professional manner including all necessary justification and supporting documentation. Providing support and service to manufacturing departments on a regular basis. Writing manufacturing procedures, training materials, and maintenance procedures.

 

These positions will support the grind/finishing areas in manufacturing.  Other responsibilities include the following:
Implementing improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and/or improve product quality. Preparing and establishing reliable operating procedures (SOP's, etc.). Preparing and delivering training on new systems and procedures. Designin plant and equipment layouts. Undertaking all aspects of mechanical design in support of manufacturing requirements related to, but not limited to, machine tools and systems, special fixtures, tooling and gauging. Assisting in developing basic manufacturing methods. Providing the necessary technical assistance for the selection, justification and purchase of new equipment and components, including the necessary follow up to ensure the obligation of the purchase order is met by the vendor, the delivery dates are well planned, the installation is properly coordinated and any testing is completed in a timely fashion. Ensuring complete communication within the division and to the vendor about major issues/warranty claims. Ensuring successful manufacture of special bearings through project engineer responsibility. Providing daily problem solving assistance as requested to all areas of manufacturing on a timely basis. Ensuring that proper feedback is given and corrective action is taken through routine follow-up activities to prevent problems from recurring and/or to ensure that implemented improvement or corrective action is sustained. Working with other Analysts/Engineers to ensure optimum design and manufacturing methods.



The Manufacturing Engineer position requires a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Must demonstrate a high level of motivation and the ability to work on his/her own. Must have demonstrated the necessary interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of personnel. Must have a working knowledge of modern engineering and manufacturing processes and systems.
