Toledo Molding & Die, Inc., a full service, automotive plastics supplier, based in Toledo, Ohio, has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Elba, Alabama facility. Our Elba plant is a plastic injection and blow molder and assembly facility for HVAC products. Our engineers need excellent communication skills (including computer skills, MS Office) to research product defects, determine solutions, and make customer contact to prevent and resolve problems.? The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or Plastics Technology or equivalent technical degree with 1-2 years of manufacturing experience and familiarity with automotive program management.

The position requires a working knowledge of advance quality planning techniques such as: 8-D, GD&T, TS 16949, PFMEAs, and PPAP. ?Engineers prepare sample submissions and establish key product characteristics with customers, assess product design feasibility, maintain cost and timelines and identify, track, and resolve all open issues regarding same. ?Plant layout and work center design skills are required, including interface with equipment and tooling sources to manage acquisition of equipment, secondary and assembly tooling, fixtures, and gages for build and process modifications.? Engineers assist in product transfer from development to production and develop training methods for manufacturing and maintenance.
