Project Manager - Sourcing

CITY: Lewistown STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Develop and lead projects in sourcing related areas including cost reduction, new product introduction, supplier development, and process improvement.
* Develop, coordinate, and execute sourcing strategies for Global Testing Machine business in conjunction with Global Sourcing Leader, Europe, and Chine teams.
* Responsible for all aspects of Testing Machine Sourcing in North America.
* Own relationship with key Testing Machine suppliers, including quality, delivery, cost.
* Lead evaluation of supplier capabilities, particularly related to new product introductions.
* Lead supplier negotiations and provide for the evaluation of vendor quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and purchasing analysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, price, delivery, and service necessary to meet requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* BS/MS degree in engineering discipline or equivalent education.
* Strong technical experience in Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Systems.
* Demonstrated project management skills.
* Minimum 5 years of operational experience in technology/industrial arena (manufacturing, sourcing, materials, process engineering).
* General understanding of business finance and cost/benefit analysis with interest in developing further expertise in these areas.
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
* Goal-oriented team player with ability to integrate quickly and successfully into matrix organization.
* Solid knowledge of MRP systems and MS-Office; particularly Excel and Access.
* Willingness for national and international travel.

Desired:
* Six Sigma (Quality) Black Belt or Green Belt.
* MBA
* Minimum 3 years sourcing experience.experience
