Systems Development Engineer

Laser Projection Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Engineer to help in the development of our advanced 3D laser projection products and work in our multidisciplinary team on all project phases from prototyping and design to production and applications support.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

?  Developing precision electro-optical solutions to meet customer specifications, system requirements, manufacturability and product cost goals.

?  Performing various project engineering tasks, detailed systems analysis and modeling, developing component specifications.

?  Participating in ongoing research and development, planning, and conducting lab experiments, prototyping, and component evaluation.

?  Developing procedures and documentation for production, assisting in manufacturing process development, product alignment and testing.

?  Providing product metrology support, developing and implementing solutions for calibration and certification.

?  Contributing to application development and customer support.

 

 

Essential job requirements:

 

?  BS/MS in Engineering Physics/Optics or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on experience with development of precision opto-mechanical/electro-optical products.

?  Expertise in laser systems, optics, scanners, servo controls, photodetectors, data acquisition, and signal processing.

?  Practical knowledge in industrial computer-based systems integration, servo tuning, troubleshooting, testing and calibration.

?  Experience with lasers, optical alignment and prototyping, electronic test equipment, lab work, and production support.

?  Familiarity with 3D CAD tools, math modeling and simulation methods, design standards, and metrology.

?  Good oral & written communication skills.
