La Casa is licensed as a 190-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC), providing assistance to adults with serious mental illness. La Casa offers evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals who would otherwise be in a state hospital or acute care facility.

Telecare opened La Casa Mental Health Center in 1988 in Norwalk. The program was moved to a spacious nine-acre site, featuring a full-size gym and swimming pool, in 1997.

We are looking for exceptional candidates for the following position:

 

Director of Environmental Services, Long Beach:

 

The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all maintenance, security, and housekeeping within the regions facilities as well as oversight of facility-related contracts.  The region consists of Los Angeles, Camarillo, Orange County and San Bernardino. Managing the Environmental Services Department involves ensuring that clean, safe and attractive conditions are maintained inside the facility and on the grounds.  This requires that maintenance and housekeeping and tasks are scheduled, monitored and performed in an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration between the environmental services staff and other facility departments.  Active participation in the Quality Improvement Program is an essential component of this position.

 

Qualifications:

 

Four (4) years of experience in the building maintenance field, one (1) year of which was spent in a supervisory capacity is ideal.  Experience in building maintenance in a health care setting is preferred.  Necessary skills include demonstrable knowledge of maintenance, housekeeping, laundry and security functions within a health care setting. High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent is required, trade school training and/or two years of college are preferred.  The incumbent must possess a valid California driver?s license and be an insurable driver.  This position requires 50% travel. The ability to read, write and speak English is essential, as is the desire to work with mentally impaired adults.
