Entry to Mid Level Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an entry level Geologist, Environmental Engineer, or Environmental Scientist to provide support on a variety of environmental projects, including emergency response with significant travel. Bachelor of Science degree is a requirement.

Candidate will be providing technical support for U.S. EPA contracts in the area hazardous waste site remediation and characterization. Specific responsibilities will include data review and analysis, database management, and report preparation. Candidate also will provide support and/or lead a wide variety of environmental projects.


Experiences Requirements:
Experience with hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, water resources, CERCLA, Phase I & II environmental assessments a plus.



Skills Required:
Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software required. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred. Must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel, and be on-call as needed.

Education Requirements:
B.A. /B.S. degree in Science required with a preference in environmental science, biology, or chemistry. Also will consider degrees in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. Professional registrations a plus. OSHA 40-hour training with Hazmat preferred.
