The Natural Resources, Industry, and Infrastructure (NRII) group is seeking an Entry Level Mining, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineer with a background and interest in engineering design and field engineering primarily within the mining industry to be based in our Phoenix and/or Globe, Arizona office. Additional experience in ACAD would also be an advantage.


This position will have demonstrated ability to perform engineering and design applying basic engineering principles both in field and office settings.

Responsibilities:

1. Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems and perform basic design calculations as required. The applicant must be able to apply scientific principles and techniques to collect and analyze data needed to assess engineering and mine reclamation related issues.
2. Conduct field inspections and support of different phases of construction for compliance with specifications; review and approve drawings; conduct field inspections; review progress versus schedule; develop change orders; approve contractor invoices; approve completed work for client under the supervision of a resident engineer or project manager.
3. Assist in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs and completing progress reports.
4. Assist in project design documents including developing scopes of work, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
5. Help develop and/or prepare proposals; help develop and make presentations, establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with current and prospective clients.
4. Perform other related duties as assigned.
5. Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Requires Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering with a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience. Good organizational, technical, communication and detail skills also required.
