Logan Simpson Design Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, professional individual to prepare and coordinate proposals and write, review and/or edit proposals and marketing communications for grammar, writing style, presentation accuracy and consistency.  The selected individual must work well with others, have a thorough knowledge of grammar and sound writing practices, and demonstrate excellent technical and persuasive writing skills.  Dependability, organization, productivity, and attention-to-detail are also important. Essential Duties:

These duties may vary depending on job assignment and firm needs.

? Plans, researches, organizes, edits, produces and/or writes in-house proposal and marketing materials as requested by Principals and/or the Marketing Manager.  Works to write and produce high-quality proposals and other material on time with minimal disruption to office production.

? Assists in implementation of the firm?s marketing strategy, public relations efforts, and their development, as assigned.

? Generates and assigns potential proposal leads, as assigned.

? Prepares firm and staff qualifications, resumes and assists staff in writing them.

?Writes, prepares and submits awards for design and other forms of public recognition of firm?s performance in conjunction with the Marketing Manager.

? Adheres to quality standards for clarity, conciseness, and consistency of documents by applying documented style guide standards, as well as by using sound writing practices.

? Rewrites or revises draft information for target audiences, as requested.

? Organizes and maintains proposal/marketing data, including:

o  Information on prospects, clients, competitors.

o  Written and visual material reference files.

o  SF 330/254/255 and other government proposal information.

o  GSA contract information.

o  Proposal boilerplate materials.

o  Firm data, such as number of employees by discipline, experience base by client type, etc.

o  Quantitative measures of performance used the marketing context.

? Attends proposal related meetings/presentations, as requested.

? Coordinates firm-sponsored marketing events and administers client reward program, as requested.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

?Bachelor?s degree in marketing, English, communications or other appropriate field with three to eight years related experience or equivalent in proposal/marketing writing and preparation.

? A strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required.

? Experience with Adobe InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS2 is strongly preferred.

? Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred.
