The MWH Pasadena, Natural Resources Industry and Infrastructure (NRII) office is looking for an energetic, supervising-level health and safety professional to provide business and technical leadership to our west coast practice. Position will be located in Pasadena or Irvine, California. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the company's externally focused health & safety practice locally in Southern California and ultimately for the west coast operations. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and grow a team practice in the health and safety field. This person must feel comfortable with consulting and have a full understanding of the value that health and safety brings to an organization. This position will require the individual to meet with clients and prospective clients regularly.

Responsibilities:
1. Development of long-term, sustainable working relationships with clients.
2. Proposal and presentation development/delivery to secure project work with new and existing Fortune 500 clients.
3. Provide leadership and mentoring to health and safety staff personnel.
4. Maintaining utilization for health and safety staff through project work.



Supervisory Responsibility: 3 to 6

- B.S. (MS preferred) in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Sciences, or Environmental Science or other related engineering field.
- CIH and/or CSP certification preferred.
- 10-15 years experience with consulting firm or its equivalent is preferred.
-Established relationships with large-scale private sector industries preferred.
-Must be a demonstrated initiative taker.
-Demonstrated experience in business development and client relations
-Strong written and oral skills are required.
-40-hour OSHA training is preferred.
-Must be 'hands-on type, willing to travel and/or spend large percentage of time in the field when required.
