Director of Property Management

SUMMARY:

Our client, one of the top 25 largest property management companies in Los Angeles County, is currently seeking a Director of Property Management to be located in their Los Angeles headquarters. Decron Properties Corporation is involved in many aspects of the real estate business including development, property management, and general construction services. The portfolio includes a wide array of Class "A" and "B" mixed-use developments, multi-family apartment communities, commercial office buildings, and anchored retail shopping centers. The portfolio is predominantly located in Southern California and has a market value of over One billion dollars.  The company manages approximately 50 properties in total, including 3,000 apartment units and 3,000,000 sq. feet of commercial (retail and office). All of  the properties are owned by the principals of the company (none are fee managed). The ideal candidate will have strong management and leadership skills to go along with a proven track record of running the day-to-day operations of a successful property management and real estate development company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Run the day-to-day operations for the company.

 

*Create proven policies and procedures to organize the company.

 

*Create management policies to manage personnel and projects in different regions of Los Angeles and Southern California.

 

*Hire and maintain staff to oversee all aspects of the property management of 50 individual properties.

 

*Schedule projects from start to finish and  complete them in a timely fashion.

 

*Create improvement stategies to help grow the company.

 

*Implement management systems and instill the corporate philosophy.

 

SKILLS:

* A minimum 10 years experience in the property management industry.

 

*Proven experience managing properties in Southern California.

 

*Strong track record of building teams and hiring qualified employees.

 

*Superior leadership and motivational skills.

 

*Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.

 

*Bachelor's degree is required. MBA/MA preferred.

 

*Independent, self-motivated, hands-on mentality.

 

COMPENSATION:
