Tactical Systems Division/ Integrated Platform Solutions



Successful candidate will manage a large production engineering team, responsible for the successful delivery of millions of dollars of hardware monthly. Responsible for 40+ member team working material planning, assembly and test, light manufacturing, warehouse operations, and inventory sell-off activities. Must be team oriented, and able to effectively multi-task competing priorities and schedules. Experience moving products from engineering to production, with hands-on experience using and tailoring an enterprise-wide MRP system. Must be knowledgeable about government procurement policies governed by FAR, and the complete lifecycle from contract award to DD250 sell-off.

This position reports to the Business Area Director, and will support other Integrated Platform Solutions Program Managers in the delivery of their program requirements. Position is responsible for managing and improving processes to enhance the effectiveness of the production organization and grow the business in Huntsville, including but not limited to facilitation of a lean manufacturing process. Candidate will work closely with all departments to ensure that processes are working efficiently for Huntsville projects and functional organizations. Chairs resource planning working group that includes engineering center manager, and PMs.

Candidates are required to have been involved and have managed hardware integration facilities. The successful candidate will also have experience with tools such as ERP/MRP systems. The level of the position will be determined based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate

The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position:



BS in engineering discipline. MS preferred


Supplier Management as it relates to site operations


Working knowledge of financial management including project control and indirect budgets preferred


Proven track record of leadership and teamwork skills and Staff supervisory/management experience


Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities


Ability to effectively influence in the absence of in-line authority


Excellent written and oral communications skills


15+ years experience
Experience in the following areas is an asset:



Comprehensive knowledge of general and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems business practices
