Leadership Development Manager

Role QUALCOMM, named one of Fortune magazine's '100 Best Companies to work for in America' for eight consecutive years, is seeking a talented individual to become part of its award-winning Learning Center Team. In this key role, you will be assisting with QUALCOMM's efforts to create and sustain an organizational culture that supports the company's strategic direction. This Human Resources position is principally accountable for ensuring that the corporation identifies, develops, and retains its critical talent and that the company identifies leadership development needs that help the business succeed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
In this strategic role, responsibilities will include developing and implementing leadership development strategies and programs, managing leadership assessment methodologies, developing talent management strategies and programs, working with executives to create career and development plans, formulating on-boarding plans for senior leadership, consulting to business leaders on organizational design and facilitating senior leadership through the 'Strategic Learning Plan' process. Additional responsibilities include developing relationships with internal clients, assessing needs, recommending appropriate solutions to meet those needs, and managing the delivery of product and service solutions around the world. As a manager, you may also be responsible for developing and leading key initiatives, providing strategic guidance to staff and team members.

Skills/Experience
*Serve as the key point of contact for leadership / executive development and work with the business and HR partners on development and implementation of related programs for a global workforce.

*Design and execute a talent management strategy to effectively assess, identify, and develop key talent in QUALCOMM.

*Develop and provide oversight for leadership development programs including faculty identification, content development, and program evaluation for QUALCOMM leaders around the world.

*Participate in the development and implementation of succession planning models, survey implementation and other specific organizational-wide initiatives.

*Use a variety of assessment tools to increase leadership and organizational effectiveness across the company.

*Act as an internal consultant supporting multiple business units.

*Conduct organization assessments to determine the company!|s critical skills requirements, assess existing capabilities, and ensure development of staff to meet strategic objectives

*Provide consultation to managers on appropriate organization design and learning. Manage and participate in the design and implementation of individual and group effectiveness interventions

*Support organization development interventions across the organization within and across multiple sites. Drive change management and business and cultural transformation efforts.

*Align international and domestic learning and development plans

*Participate in the creation and implementation of evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of leadership and organization development initiatives.

*Participate with subject matter experts, vendors and instructional designers to design comprehensive curriculum, supported by solid learning experiences, to support employee and organizational development strategies for all functions.

*Identify and cultivate a strong external network of outside organizational consultants and manage their activities to support the development, design and ongoing delivery of organizational effectiveness, training and development programs.

Additional Skills
*5+ years of experience in a corporate learning function managing the design and development of leadership & executive development programs for a high tech, multi-unit organization with offices around the globe.

*Experience in developing and implementing talent management programs and processes.

*Experience in designing learning and development solutions for international locations.

*Functional expertise in organizational assessment, organizational design employee development, internal consulting, and organizational transformation.

*Skill in working with senior leadership and line management.

*Skill in the design and application of measurement and evaluation processes.

*Experience managing direct reports and teams.

*Skill in making clear and persuasive presentations.

*Ability to build credibility quickly at all levels within the organization.

*Ability to work in and manage ambiguity !V dealing with issues, problems or events that do not always have a process, system or solution in place.

*Ability to work independently, drive results and stay focused to accomplish work.

*Ability to manage large multifaceted and high profile projects where team leaders do not have a direct reporting relationship.

*Ability to think strategically and systemically

*Ability to work with ambiguity in a complex, fast-paced environment

*Possesses a strong result orientation

*Is flexible, creative, and can execute on ideas
