The Department of Anesthesia is seeking a highly qualified individual to support the Department?s research division as the Division Manager. The division currently consists of 13 faculty and 30 staff members and significant growth of our highly dynamic group is expected in the near future. In this role, you will independently be responsible for the daily academic operations of the division, including management of administrative support staff, workflow planning and implementation, finance and accounting, web development/marketing, training, compliance and infrastructure. We?ll also rely on you to implement programmatic and structural changes as the division continues to grow, act as the department?s Grant Specialist and Project Manager for all grant submissions, and represent the Division to internal and external constituencies.

 

This key assignment requires a strong leader with a 4-year college degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent, and excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, including MS Office, SPARC, HTML, FrontPage and Dreamweaver are also necessary, as is the ability to learn new programs.
