Staff VP Program Development (HMC)

WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide.



Oversees the development  and execution of HMC’s strategic direction for health and wellness, early risk identification, and lifestyle management for the enterprise and external clients of HMC.  Also oversees the strategic integration of HMC as the  enterprise CDHP product platform.  Evaluates and updates ongoing programs that continue to meet needs of both the internal and external market and assures that all programs are based on evidence-based guidelines and literature. Helps both internal and HMC internal sales understand extent and nature of programs to help differentiate WLP products and positive impact on account sales and maintenance. Provides tools for operational units to assure greater enrollment in HMC programs resulting improved health and financial outcomes. Motivates associates to accomplish goals and objectives. Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices. Performs other duties as assigned.



BA/BS and 5+ years of management experience required.  Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills required. Strong computer skills required. Excellent tactical planning and organizational skills required. Proven managerial, leadership and project management skills required.
