Training and Development Manager

Caterpillar Dealership in the L.A area is looking for a Training and Development Manager.

 Develops and implements training and development programs to align with key business initiatives by providing effective solutions. Obtains and maintains knowledge of Caterpillar technical products related to training needs. Maintains positive relationships with external customers and other dealer contacts; maximizing opportunities to increase revenue business. Oversees adjunct facility relationship and facility use with Quinn Group and Community College relationships, to achieve objectives of Think Big Caterpillar Dealer Service Technician program partnership. Collaborates on the design and roll out of training initiatives through gap analysis to determine the appropriate solutions needed to meet organizational goals. Designs training development plans for each business unit that are aligned to business objectives. Establish train-the-trainer program that will allow training specialists and management teams to be subject matter experts and develop a unified training infrastructure through integration and collaboration. This position will have 6 to 10 direct reports.

 Minimum requirements include B.A. in Business or related field. Masters preferred. 5 to 10 years of directly related experience. Experience in business development, strategic planning, project management and training development. Excellent writing and verbal skills. Analytical skills, ability to drive change and coach others to achieve business unit goals. Team building skills, demonstrating by example the professionalism and approach that reflect the corporate vision and values. Ability to manage varied tasks with great attention to detail and follow through. Ability to clearly communicate objectives, feedback and the needs of the business units to achieve goals effectively.
