Strategic Management
- Develop and communicate strategic sales and marketing plans to grow hospital/institutional market share and sales revenue while optimally increasing EBIT & ROCC.
- Initiate change through consistent application and demonstration of the ICARE shared principles, which requires an in-depth understanding of the ICARE philosophy and the ICARE model of behavior.
Hospital/Institutional Sales & Marketing Management
- Lead hospital/institutional market management team and sales force in execution of corporate, regional and market strategic plans to reach and exceed targeted sales and financial goals.
- Achieve consistently superior customer satisfaction by leading Hospital/Institutional sales and customer service programs and efforts which ensure the needs of the customer are met timely and satisfaction measurements are implemented.
- Manage and drive the sales funnel, sales reporting programs as well as other sales methodologies sponsored by the company throughout the hospital/institutional sales organization of the market.
- Lead market or regional team sales projects to capture larger business opportunities and maximize sales results through integrated offerings of products/services which cross business lines.
- Ensure on-going, market focus in building strong relationships with key customers in order to build/maintain the credibility required to keep the business of these customers even during times of risk.
- Responsible for sponsoring programs which will ensure full and adequate technical sales training is provided to market staff in order to carry out their sales and customer service responsibilities completely and with optimum results. This responsibility includes full and complete training in all products and services offered and available by the Company?s retail marketing and sales organizations.
- Participate in the development of financial statements for the hospital/institutional market and ensure that they reflect accurately & timely the financial status at the time of report in conformance with corporate accounting standards. Develop, communicate, & manage the market budget within EBIT & ROCC goals and ensure forecasts during the fiscal year are adjusted timely to drive sales results and adjustments to plan.
Human Resource Management
- Responsible for the consistent application of corporate & regional HR management policies/practices and for ensuring ongoing employee/mgt. relations to support optimal team performance.
- Responsible for providing leadership and support for corporate & regional skills training initiatives for management & employees including the development of plans for the professional development of all sales personnel.
- Ensure recruitment activities in the market sales organization are consistent with the practices required to select qualified, superior candidates.
- Direct staff to provide a working environment within sales, which fosters creativity, productivity, collaboration, and accountability by both management and employees.
- Establish and direct performance expectations and hospital/institutional sales policies & standards for retail market staff to ensure excellent service to all customers and growth of new retail business.
Organizational Leadership & Liaison Activities
- Represent hospital/institutional sales market within corporate and regional contexts in carrying out the business of the company such as participation in the development of corporate/regional initiatives, plans, goals, policies, etc.
- Manage collaboratively ongoing relations of the market with operations, credit, finance and other field or corporate organizations in order to optimize business results and customer satisfaction.
- Teach and model the ICARE principles with employees, customers, vendors, and other managers at all times and drive high-level compliance throughout the market with managers and employees as necessary.Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of sales/marketing experience is essential including at least 5 years managerial experience. Some experience in pharmaceutical distribution sales or related healthcare industry is required.Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft - Word, Excel, etc.)
Miscellaneous Requirements
- Ability to travel 30-50%.Education
