Vice President of Sales and Marketing

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee all areas of company Sales and Marketing.  This position requires a strong sales and management background with the ability to set and achieve aggressive Company sales goals.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage and direct sales associates to achieve Company and individual sales goals Plan, organize, develop and execute successful sales strategies including the development of new vertical markets Input into pricing methodologies, tools and other metrics Hire new Sales Representatives as needed Work with outside vendors to establish and develop relationships with an emphasis on faith based organizations. Must be competent in support of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and
the development of their responses, proposal development, and
delivery of PowerPoint presentations.Work closely with management to establish timelines for critical and upcoming projects Manage personal and department T & E (Travel and Entertainment) budget to maximize revenue and minimize expenses Assist in A/R settlements of delinquent customer accounts if required Coordinate work activity with other staff to meet the needs of customers Responsible for creating and maintaining department budget Works closely with other departments to ensure customer issues and time table are met Prioritize sales and marketing activities Developing advertisenets for radio, televison, print and internet media.Perform other duties as assigned by the President Ability to travel 50%+ Participate in trade shows, seminars and other public events as
necessary, and perform other position and/or segment related
projects and activities as requested or directed

The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in sales and marketing of  private placement investments.

The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Southern CA Broker Dealer retail investment sales environment. 

 

The candidate should be able to demonstrate general professional wholesaler skills to include presentation, organizational and effective sales questioning skills. A demonstrated history of succeeding in sales is a plus.

 

Series 7 is required.


It is preferred that the candidate has a solid background in private placement investment sales . Also the candidate should be well versed in alternative investments.

 

 

 

The associate may be required to follow other job related instructions and to perform job related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

 Bachelor degree in business or related field required Minimum of 10 years experience in similar position Must possess broad knowledge of telecommunications, voice and data transport Have successful track record in Large Enterprise telecommunications, voice and data services and/or network services sales Must have a proven, confident and structured approach to sales (a
proven process of prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, creating
the need and closing the business). Excellent oral and written communication Ability to multi-task Ability to create and maintain budgets/cash flow Strong analytical skills Strong communications skills both verbal and written Tactical and strategic business planning Must be detailed oriented Must possess high degree of discretion, trustworthiness, good judgment and professionalism Must have clean background and driving record

 

Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities

 Possess and excellent knowledge of developing advertisenets for radio, televison, print and internet media.

 

Working Conditions

 Ability to work in a fast-pace environment Travel up to 50% of time Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends and holidays if required

 

 

 

The salary starts at $40,000.00 with generous stock options.
