Business Analyst III

The Business Analyst III is responsible for performing operational analysis and operational performance measures. This is a full-time University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Health Plan position, located in the Healthcare Analytics department, where large datasets are collected, analyzed, and presented to internal and external customers. Responsibilities include accurately summarizing analyses including appropriate displays of data.

A bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, health care, management or a related field is required. A minimum of four years experience in financial and/or medical analysis is also required. Experience with analysis of pharmacy and/or medical claims data as well as experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred, but those with relevant experience in other industries will be considered. Strong technical skills required, including Access, Excel, SAS, COGNOS, and SQL.
