Credit Risk Analyst

Description: Contributes to the management of credit risk for the Home Equity Division (HED) through the reporting and analysis of Home Equity, Home Improvement and Recreational loan products. The Analyst's primary tasks range from the design and development of MIS reports to more sophisticated analyses regarding the credit performance of HED's various product types.

 

Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and develop credit risk metrics for Home Equity Division products.
Develop and maintain MIS reports regarding credit risk performance.
Design ad-hoc templates, programs, and implementations as necessary.
Coordinate report migration to production processes as needed and support ad hoc data requests.
Support credit risk forecasting through database maintenance, resolution of reporting variances, and mastery of internal Green Tree forecasting processes.
Support credit risk modeling through design, development and validation of credit risk models.
Provide analytical support for various types of credit risk modeling; and maintain, implement and develop statistical credit risk models.
Coordinate with other departments and various levels of management regarding credit risk reporting issues, including investigating data issues, resolve reporting errors, and serve as subject matter expert regarding credit risk MIS reporting; develop and implement solutions as warranted.
Manage assigned projects in timely manner, ensuring accuracy and deliverables are met.

 

Requirements
2 - 3 years of experience in financial review (mortgage and/or consumer finance preferred), risk assessment, and/or credit monitoring and computer reporting required
2 - 3 years in report and analytical design required.
Experience developing Excel-based (VBA) programs that interface databases to process and evaluate credit risk forecasts
Outstanding computer skills, to include: MS Office, Excel (VBA), SQL, and SAS or other statistical language.
4 year degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Management, or similar degree required.
