This is an amazing career opportunity for a self-motivated Financial Analyst in the Northwest Phoenix area to support Company operations through analysis of operating and financial activity including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within this Fortune 500 Company.
Under the leadership of a Senior Financial Analyst you will provide reporting and analysis aimed at supporting and improving operational performance. These ongoing activities will include: efficiency analysis, system operational impact and expense analysis, budget/planning support, reporting, and key operations support. About The Position?
In this fast paced and challenging position, you will be responsible for?
? Soliciting feedback from key work groups with respect to information needs. Communicating and explaining financial impacts.
? Generating and providing timely, up-to-date key information to Supervisor on work groups in order to facilitate decision-making process including; actuals, budget information, trend analysis, etc.
? Analyzing operating trends in data.
? Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) for area of focus.
? Performing any other financial duties as assigned by management.
? Preparing financial analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, efficiency analysis, system operational impact and expense analysis.
? Preparing forecasts, budgets and analyzes trends in operating expenses, finance, general business related conditions, and other related areas.
? Utilizing PC and/or minicomputer systems and software, compiling and preparing reports, graphs, and charts of data developed.
? Developing business studies and cooperating with other departments in the preparation of analysis.
? Developing spreadsheets to validate and integrate accounting and other pertinent information with operations information.
? Performing month-end and quarterly closing activities, marketing analysis, program compliance, etc.
? Performing detailed statistical and financial analyses using data collected from the financial accounting systems, or other database systems.
? Tracking operating expenses and providing monthly variance reports; participating in month end close meetings.
? Assisting the system in achieving its business objectives by executing various action programs as assigned by the strategic and long-range planning process.
To be immediately and seriously considered for this amazing opportunity, you must have the following:
? B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline.
? 2 to 5 years directly related experience in a financial planning department.
? Must demonstrate experience supporting operations.
? Must have experience in some facets of business cycle planning including: budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis.
? Cable, Wireless/Telecommunications experience preferred.
? Strong proficiency with WP, spreadsheet, presentation, database and graphic applications (i.e. MS Office software suite).
? Strong written and oral communication skills.
? Strong knowledge of financial concepts (accruals, expenditures, purchase requisitions, actuals, forecasts, estimates)
? Ability to communicate effectively via face-to-face and e-mail.
? Advanced knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel, including business and financial modeling.
? Demonstrated proficiency with Database applications and handling large volumes of raw data.
? Must be an effective communicator.
? Solid critical thinking skills.
? Ability to research and analyze data.
? Ability to use analytical investment tools (NPV, IRR, ROA)
? Strong customer focus.
? Must be able to work well with various functional skill sets.
? Must be able to manage to deadlines and prioritize.
