TITLE: Sr. Financial Analyst (Internal Auditor)

 

 OFFICE LOCATION: Pittsburgh, HQ

 

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the development and implementation of meaningful financial support for one or multiple MSA divisions in order to identify and provide understanding of individual SBU financial healthProvides senior management with advanced intelligence regarding state of the business and with alternative financial and business strategies regarding opportunities and shortfalls.  Communicate to operational managers financial results for decision making.Provide consultation and direction to MSA management to identify issues and to provide guidance to address problem areasDevelops and improves financial reports and financial reporting system.Completes highly confidential and complex financial and business planning projects that may significantly influence the direction of operating business units.Assist with Budget preparationExtensive period and budget variance analysisReview of billing and income accruals relevant to contract & project progressAbility to calculate % of completion revenues for project contractsAssist with A/R collection issues and problem resolutionProvide contract financial guidance/insightDevelop, and keep current, appropriate allocation of costs from shared resources to the SBUs'Tax reporting accountability (i.e. preparation of federal and state tax filings, and tax research and implementation)Consolidation reportingResponsible for MSA Internal Control evaluation and documentation as required by Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Section 404Provide knowledge and guidance on Sarbanes Oxley inquiryDevelop templates and business plans for documenting Sarbanes Oxley Internal Control requirementsLearn and Utilize the IFS computer system to facilitate Internal Control understandingPossible traveling and consulting with external clients on Internal Control documentation using the IFS products



JOB REQUIREMENTS: Four-year degree in Business Administration or Finance, or equivalent experience.  Master?s Degree in Financial Analysis may substitute for two years of work experience.  CPA preferred. Minimum five years relevant experience in a similar position with a large company Minimum two years experience in Internal Auditing with a concentration in IT/EDP auditing Experience in developing SAS70 reports from either the Service Organization or Service Auditor?s perspective is highly desired Experience in Auditing Government and/or IT operations, Sarbanes Oxley - especially 404 requirements highly desired Exposure to the CobiT Audit guidelines and the COSO Internal Control Framework are desired Exposure to Risk Management theories/concepts/practices is a plus P&L responsibility experience Market-based pricing experience Budget preparation/compliance experience Cost accounting experience Strong PC/Computer skills Spreadsheet and database applications knowledge Financial reporting experience Must be able to understand, document and communicate business processes, procedures and system flows Innovative, results-oriented Experience working within a consultative role working with clients or implementations is helpful, but not required Experience utilizing an ERP Financial System and interface tools, desirable SEC Reporting experience desired
