Group Objective Schwab Operations' middle office and street-side operations functions are critical parts of the engine that makes Schwab's business run. We make investing and trading possible by: running the processes for opening and maintaining client accounts; helping ensure quality execution and settlement of tens of millions of trades; custody and servicing of assets; and facilitating reporting and communications for more than eight million client accounts. Job Description


We are looking for a talented individual to manage operations projects for a variety of initiatives focused on streamlining processes, enhancing our employees' ability to deepen client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.  This position offers great opportunity to work closely with the Operations Management Team and others around the organization. 


The position requires multi-tasking capabilities, great communication skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, and strong project management skills.  The candidate must be self-sufficient and demonstrate a history of accountability and delivery in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with our business partners. 


The individual will be responsible for:


Identifying, documenting, recommending and executing opportunities to improve business processes

Partnering with key stakeholders to define, design, develop, test and implement business solutions

Managing and driving business decisions to deliver projects on schedule

Establishing relationships with internal customers to understand operational inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and deliver improvements.


Qualifications


Must demonstrate experience in a project management role 


  Knowledge of financial services industry, Series 7 & 63 preferred

 Strong customer focus, including ability to think in terms of customer experience/perspective

 Inquisitive mind with out-of-the-box thinking focused on delivery

Hands-on Operations experience strongly preferred

Decided interest in affecting change through process improvement, training, and streamlining Operations functions 

Excellent relationship management skills (negotiating, collaborating, influencing) 

 Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Outstanding written/verbal communication skills, time management, organizational and grammatical skills

Ability to be a self starter and to work independently but recognize when escalation is needed

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing team environment
