Collects and/or adjusts more complex delinquent accounts (early or late stages). Contacts customers by telephone or in writing to request payment of delinquent amounts. Resolves disposition of delinquent or high balance accounts with customers. Prepares all necessary documentation, reports, and files. Must have understanding of basic consumer credit laws, bankruptcy, real estate laws, foreclosure laws, and financial analysis. May coordinate repossession efforts through outside agents.   May work with customer to arrange acceptable payment program. May contact credit, employment, and other references to locate customer. May counsel with peer  collectors and make suggestions regarding collections techniques.  Employees receive general supervision and regularly exercise judgment to accomplish assignments.  Demonstrates judgment capability, is able to work independently of supervisor on predominately complex matters.

 

Work Schedule:  Mon & Tues (9am - 7pm), Wed & Thurs (7am - 5pm), Fri (7am - 11am).  Also requires working 2 Saturdays per month (7am - 11am)















 
2+ years of late stage (120+ days) collections experience (secured preferred) or 1+ years of  late stage collection experience in auto finance
1-2 years skip tracing experience
Expert knowledge of collection laws (FDCPA)
Proficient use of PC and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
Ability to be self-motivated, creative and innovative
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organizational and time management to maintain work volume
Good negotiation and influencing skills
