1. Group Objective/Purpose


 


SI Trade Support will provide unparalleled service to internal and external clients alike, while improving the ease with which clients conduct business with us. It is our goal to provide accurate and timely executions and information to our clients. We also look to strengthen cross enterprise alliances and relationships to develop a seamless investment manager experience while supporting Schwab's business strategies.


 


2. Brief Description of Role Needed


 


The SI Trade Support representative must utilize both trading expertise and strong communications skills to solve problems in all product areas (Mutual Funds, Equities, and Fixed Income), along with reviewing issues escalated from TOA, Cashiering, Sales and Managed Accounts. The representative will work as a part of a 5 person team to be the first line of defense for trade errors for SI clients, answering inbound inquiries, performing research and determination on error situations and staying up-to-date on changing trading technologies. The representative will be responsible for ensuring proper resolution of trade errors as well as well as follow-through to ensure we receive payments of IM errors in a timely manner.


 


3. Technical/Functional Qualifications Needed


 


Ideal candidate will possess excellent understanding of trading products, platforms and processes. Series 7 required with 3-5 years of in-depth securities and mutual funds trading highly desirable. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Good understanding of risk dynamics and ability to apply in trade process situations. Must be self starter, team player, work well in a dynamic changing, sometimes pressured environment. Professional communication skills, staying organized, ability to reconcile end client accounts and multi-tasking key success factors. Demonstrated knowledge in legacy based screens, OMNI, Client Central, SWISS, and IECMS are desired skill-sets.
