Remuda Ranch provides individualized, intensive inpatient programs for women and girls suffering from eating disorders and related issues.

 

In our unique, non-institutional settings, our treatment teams--consisting of Psychiatric and Primary Care Providers, Registered Dieticians, Masters Level Therapists, Psychologists, and Registered Nurses--offer Biblically-based, intensive care to patients of all faiths.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide direct patient care in a supportive and empathetic manner to ensure a safe, Christian-growth oriented environment by employing biblically-based, Christ-centered principles and concepts to treatment process. Monitor patient?s meals.  Report and document patient behaviors, occurrences and conditions to appropriate staff members.  Communicates effectively with patients and staff.  Provide medical and clinical care appropriately.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  Educational/Experience:

1. High school graduate plus successful graduation from a two year Licensed Practical Nursing school, passing the Nursing Board Examination.

2. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arizona or compact state approved by the Arizona Board of Nursing.

3. Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Behavior Management Training.

4. Minimum of one-year experience in a behavioral health and/or eating disorder program preferred.

5. Prefer one year of experience with substance abuse/withdrawal techniques.

6. Prefer one year of experience in child/adolescent population.Prefer knowledge of psychiatric nursing, care, assessment intervention, crisis intervention and psychiatric emergencies.

1. Ability to integrate Christian principles into all aspects of treatment and direct patient care interactions and activities.

2. Ability to effectively promote Christian growth and assist patients and families in their understanding of biblically-based foundations to recovery.

3. Must be able to effectively convey the mission of Remuda, the purpose of Remuda?s ministry and the importance of biblically-based treatment for eating disorders.

4. Ability to model a biblically-based, Christ-centered lifestyle providing an example to patients, families, staff, public and professionals.

5. Demonstrates ability to apply biblically-based, Christ-centered principles and approaches to problem solving and conflict resolution.

6. Ability to provide medical and clinical care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

7. Ability to plan, direct and/or implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to a group of patients.

8. Ability to convey messages clearly to others both verbally and written.

9. Must be able to delegate appropriate tasks to personnel and oversee their work.

10. Must be able to make decisions that adhere to approved company policies and procedures.

11. Assesses and applies age-specific knowledge to nursing situations.

12. Demonstrates the ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with patients and families.

13. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate utilizing IT systems and equipment available at Remuda.
