LPN, RN, Physician's Substitute

At Life Sera, a division of Life Therapeutics, we currently have an excellent career opportunity available for Physician's Substitute (RN or LPN) at our Jacksonville Donor Center.The Physician's Substitute (RN or LPN) for the donor center will review informed consent forms for plasmapheresis, immunization, and clinical trials with donors. The incumbent will also:

Give an explanation of the plasmapheresis procedure, its potential hazards and potential adverse reactions. Perform Quality Control on various laboratory equipment as assigned (such as monitoring freezer/refrigerator temperatures, refractometer, Hct., Urinalysis, Auto-C, Weight Scales, or other equipment). Review charts for accuracy, ensure donor safety, monitor the donor for reactions, and encourage donor?s return visit by maintaining a cheerful and friendly attitude.


The successful candidate will also have the following qualifications:

 A degree from a recognized healthcare-related educational program. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse or LPN, and be able to maintain current and valid licenses, pass medical credential evaluation, and have a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) license/certificate in the state of California. Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently are also required.  Good computer skills and an understanding of Microsoft software. A minimum of 1 year experience performing venipunctures is desired.
