Job Title: Assay Chemist (multiple positions available)

Type: Full Time

Wage: Salary depends on experience - OT pay available.

Hours: 40/wk, ability to work weekends and evenings is desirable.

Qualifications

Able to perform chemical assays, use pipetting devices, vortex mixers, centrifuges, solvent evaporators, & other devices for chemical sample preparation. Should be able to initiate work independently as required. Knowledge of organic chemistry and prior lab work experience preferred. Basic computer operating skills are required.



Description

Perform chemical extraction of biological samples according to strict protocols using centrifugation, chromatography, solid-liquid extraction, enzymatic deconjugation, pH adjustment, solvent extraction and stripping, chemical derivation, and other chemical techniques. Prepare and document reagents and solutions used, as well as sample chain of custody. Perform other tasks of a similar scientific level.
