Clinical Lab Scientist Technical Supervisor

Cirrus Health is a dynamic, growing healthcare organization looking for an experienced Clinical Lab Scientist Technical Supervisor for our Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA.

 

Job Summary:

The position is accountable for extracting specimens, performing laboratory tests and informing clients of results. Obtains specimens for lab studies.  Performs and documents quality control.  Performs and documents preventative maintenance.  Trouble shoots equipment problems when necessary.  Communicates with the Technical Supervisor to assure problems are promptly resolved and needs are addressed.  Ensures quality control of tests. Responsible for the validity and accuracy of test results performed; establishes priorities, work routines and workflow patterns for performance of tests.  Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor?s Degree in Medical Technology and 1 year lab experience.  Hospital blood bank experience preferred.  Knowledge and proficiency in Meditech and Microsoft Office products.  Ability to perform venipunctures and use laboratory equipment to collect data, perform calculations, define problems and draw valid conclusions.  Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work.
