Laboratory Manager - Clinical Genetics Laboratory

A rapidly growing genetics practice and laboratory (molecular, biochemical, tissue culture, histology) with an international reputation seeking a highly qualified PhD lab manager with expertise in cell culture and molecular genetics.

 

An independent, confident leader is needed to:

?  provide technical support and direction to staff

?  establish lab goals, objectives standards, policies, analytical procedures, methods, and guidelines for multiple departments. 

?  Manage and oversee departmental operations, budgets, supply ordering and personnel.

Technical skills must include competency in cell isolation methods and laboratory methods/techniques associated with molecular biology (DNA extraction from tissues, purification, gel electrophoresis, PCR, F-PCR, radioisotope use, as well as genotyping and sequencing using ABI genetic analyzer).  Familiarity with biochemical analysis of biological specimens a plus.

Minimum Qualification: PhD in molecular biology or genetics science, at least 3-4 years laboratory experience, direct supervision, dept level management, at least 1 yr of clinical diagnostic experience, direct experience interpreting and reporting DNA sequence.Company offers an attractive benefits package, bonus opportunity, relaxed but exciting atmosphere, and career growth and development.
