The Medical Technologist opening is in our Rapid Response Laboratory that is part of our Laboratory Department at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center . The Rapid Response Laboratory collects, analyzes, and distributes laboratory information and therapeutic blood products to providers from patients, blood and plasma donors, physicians, employees and visitors. Your Position

To fulfill this important role as a Medical Technologist in the Rapid Response Laboratory, you'll perform and interpret designated test procedures in the Immediate Response Laboratory . You'll perform a variety of laboratory duties following safe, secure, and established procedures, protocols and guidelines of the department and/or organization.

Like you, we value safety and support. As a newly hired Medical Technologist, you'll be precepted by unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude. Our Requirements:

* Minimum : 3 years or more of academic studies at an accredited college
* Minimum : Completion of 12 consecutive months of internship in an accredited school of medical technology leading to a Bachelor's degree or work experience in a laboratory which qualifies for examination of a national registry
* Minimum : National Medical Technologist (MT or MLT) registration by ASCP or equivalent organization
* Preferred : 1 year experience in a core laboratory setting
