Medical Systems Analysts/Specialists (IT and Financial)

We are searching for 2 exceptional healthcare Information Systems and Financial professionals to join a successful and dynamic Physician Group (IPA/MSO) based in the North Los Angeles area.  The Medical Systems Application Specialist position is part of the Information Systems organization.  We are also searching for candidates for a Decision Support Analyst position which is part of the Financial Operations Group.

 

 

The Medical Systems Application Specialist position is designed to support the electronic medical record and practice management systems.  This person will serve as the primary resource for the functionality of the system to the organization, its large physician community and the Software manufacturer.  This Specialist will direct all user training on the system.  The Medical Systems Application Specialist will understand all software enhancements and assist users on applying the upgrades at the physician practice level while providing the operational background to assess workflow requirements and make recommendations to front office, clinical, and billing office users.  The successful applicant for the Medical Systems Application Specialist position will meet the following qualifications:3-5 years experience managing the day-to-day operations of a medical practice preferred Bachelors degree preferred Strong communications skills and the ability/experience to train end users on the functionality of medical software Clinical background helpful. General understanding of the medical billing processes required Must be fluent in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with electronic medical records preferred Experience in working with practice management system implementations and/or conversions preferred.  Experience with the NextGen software helpful but not required Excellent verbal/written communication, especially with non-technical staff required Excellent customer service skills required



 

The Decision Support Analyst will work with the Financial Operations Team and assume responsibility for the extraction of information from the organization?s data warehouse, in order to prepare periodic and special reports, analyze information for significant conclusions and monitor/evaluate data quality and integrity.  The successful applicant for the Decision Support Analyst position will meet the following qualifications:Must have meaningful health industry experience.  IPA / Medical Group experience preferred, but hospital, health plan experience acceptable. Must have experience and/or knowledge of Clinical Analyses. Typical budgeting, forecasting and close experience is not the right background for this position. Must have very strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills (intermediate level or above). SQL experience a plus Must have excellent communication skills, analytical intelligence and the ability to think on one?s feet Must have a good employment track record
