Background on Department: Network Analytics is a department within Network Management. Network Management is responsible for Provider Network Contracting and Provider Relationship Management. Network Management's role is to deliver access to cost effective and quality networks to provide care for our members. Network Analytics provides analytical support to Network Management.

Job responsibilities:

Works independently or in a project lead role to provide analytical support and research to Network Analytics and Network Management.

Responsible for reporting and analysis of Network Management's key performance metrics and preparation of the Dashboard.

Supports primary research objectives of Network Management and cost of healthcare initiatives; responsible for the maintenance of data and information systems associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of information for planning and decision making.

Creates reporting mechanisms to automate Dashboard and ensure accuracy of data and trends reported.

Interprets data; supports/builds complex financial or statistical models using database, query language and spreadsheet software as required.

Collects information and data; identifies drivers of unit cost and changes in utilization; works with other departments as needed to ensure business objectives are met.

Prepares routine and adhoc reports; prepares and conducts presentations summarizing recommendations and/or findings.

Documents process flow, problems and changes as required. Prepares status and activity reports for management review and notifies management of issues and problems requiring immediate attention.

Serves on cross-functional task forces and committees; participates in special projects as needed.

Works on multiple projects simultaneously, establishes work plans and timelines; coordinates with internal and external sources.

Candidate should have strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel (pivots, macros, charts) and Access (queries, report building). Knowledge/application of VBA, SQL and SAS are recommended. Use of PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

Bachelors degree and five years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems related to automated systems and operations.

Extensive knowledge of PCs and related software applications.

Good math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
