Zynx Health develops Internet-enabled, evidence-based tools that empower healthcare organizations to improve the quality of medical care and to reduce healthcare costs safely.  Zynx Health is in the process of recruiting a terminologist to develop and maintain standardized healthcare terms and to map the terms to external healthcare vocabularies.

 

Job Description:

The terminologist will work as part of a team of content developers that includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, editors, and a librarian.  The primary responsibility for the terminologist will be to develop and maintain standardized healthcare terms and to map the terms to external healthcare vocabularies.  These terms are used as the building blocks of order sets and interdisciplinary plans of care which can be integrated into electronic medical record (EMR) systems.  Additional responsibilities may include client services support and sales support, especially as it relates to EMR system integration.

 

Job Requirements:Ability to multitask and to work both collaboratively and independently within a deadline-driven environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsIf not already present, a working knowledge of healthcare concept modeling and mapping must be quickly learnedA clinical background (current or former direct patient care experience) is preferredWe are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, analytical, and organized.  Those who can quickly adapt to changing business needs will thrive in this role.
