UNIT SECRETARY-HELENA, ARKANSAS-Work with the world's largest & best dialysis company!

FMCNA is hiring a Unit Secretary to service its Helena, Arkansas facility.

As a Unit Secretary with Fresenius, you will:

*Compile and maintain medical records of both the in-center and home patients in the dialysis facility.

*Store or dispose of obsolete files when appropriate.

*Prepare Hemodialysis records for the following day?s activity.

*Chart, post, and file appropriate information.

*Prepare lab slips and tubes for routine and non-routine blood work; centrifuge the blood or refrigerate according to laboratory specifications after the draw is completed; pack the box for shipment and then direct these to the appropriate laboratory as required. Result labs in Proton as needed (where allowed by state regulations).

*Assist in the collection of Patient Statistical Profile and Continuous Quality Improvement Data.

*Assist with end of month reporting requirements, such as Epogen data collection and Proton generated reports, as needed.

*Maintain accurate records of hospitalization, patient travel, etc. to facilitate coordination of patient scheduling, ancillary testing, etc.

*Assist in auditing records for ongoing compliance with medical records standards.

*Assist patients with transportation arrangements.

*Coordinate transient patient paperwork.

*Other duties as assigned which may include, but are not limited to, answering telephones, greeting patients, typing, and Proton and other data entry.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following education and work experience:

*Six months of relevant experience in a medical setting preferred.

*Typing required.

*Computer sills a plus.

*High School diploma or equivalent.
