Ophthalmic Assistant

Supports ophthalmology and optometry providers ensuring quality patient care and optimal customer service.  Obtains initial patient assessment by recording pertinent medical history, visual acuity and performing specialized technical procedures.  Performs clerical duties to maintain effective office operations and patient services; manages the usage, disposal, and replenishment of supplies necessary for an efficiently run clinic.

 

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency.  One year experience in an eye care setting required.  Current certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) highly desirable.
