Optometric Assistant -- Experience required

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Optometric Assistant to support the Optometrist in our busy Houston office. In this role, you would assist customers and utilize your optometric equipment knowledge to work with patients. This is an ideal opportunity to advance your career and gain hands-on knowledge in this field.

 

Responsibilities will include:
Working with the Optometrist
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Greeting customers and verifying insurance
Inserting and removing patients’ soft and hard contact lenses
Using standard optometric equipment
Balancing daily intake and making deposits



Previous Optometric Assistant or Optician experience is necessary, including experience using Contact Tonometer, Lenszometer, and a Pupilometer. Knowledge of optometric terminology is essential. NCLE certification is highly preferred. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply. Computer skills are a must.
