Davis Vision's Corporate Office, located in Plainview, New York, is currently seeking a responsible and reliable Sr. Proposal Writer with 3-5 years of experience in a fast paced, corporate environment.

Job Description/Summary

?

Write/proofread/revise proposals utilizing word-processing, database management and basic graphics skills for submission to prospective clients. Mentor other proposal writers by providing guidance and training to?strengthen their capabilities.??Prepare/request supporting materials needed for proposals (provider directories, GeoAccess reports, and any attachments).? Prepare ?Proposed Benefit? section of proposal by obtaining rate information and creating a ?rapid.?? Interpret instructions accompanying requests, or follow verbal instructions to determine format and content required.? Obtain current data/answers from other associates and the Internet as needed to answer proposals within required time frame.? Create/revise and maintain departmental materials such as correspondences, reports, records, forms, minutes of meetings, etc. from rough draft, corrected copy or previous versions.? Maintain ?source document? library from finalized proposals, meeting materials, presentations, etc.? Support other department efforts as needed.?

Education

?

Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in English/Journalism.

Experience & Background

?

Three to five years? minimum experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Must have advanced experience with WordPerfect, Word, Excel, and database management software (i.e. Access) and working proficiency in Photoshop and PowerPoint.? Proficiency in Quark Express a plus.

Health care industry background a plus.

Group health insurance background a plus.
