Patient Registration Rep I

Overview : Part-time, days,evenings and nights to include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities :

The Patient Registration Representative performs all registration/admission functions for hospital inpatients and outpatients in general registration areas, and/or patients in satellite offices of FMH/DC. These functions include admission, pre-registration/advance check-in for scheduled treatments, registration of walk-in clientele, insurance verification and authorization, and coordination of patient transitions and discharge. The Patient Registration Representative is expected to meet expected monthly collection goals. The Patient Registration Representative acts as a customer service and guest relations ambassador for the hospital, striving to create a positive first-impression of Banner Health for patients, families, and guests.

Qualifications :

High School diploma or GED equivalent required; two years registration or healthcare office experience preferred; completion of medical terminology course preferred; general knowledge of MS Office software desired; accurate typing at 35 wpm and accurate spelling.

*Typing test will be administered.
